Bao T. Bui

Dr. Bao T. Bui is a well-recognized cardiovascular specialist and academic leader with deep expertise in advanced heart failure, cardiac imaging, and clinical research. He currently serves as Assistant Clinical Professor of Cardiology at the University of California, Irvine, and has served as Director of Heart Failure Medicine at UC Irvine Health, Fountain Valley Campus—where he has spearheaded the development of heart failure programs and clinical innovation initiatives.

Dr. Bui earned his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a minor in Business Management from the University of California, Irvine, followed by a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and went on to complete fellowship training in Cardiovascular Diseases at the University of Maryland Medical Center. He also pursued graduate studies in pharmacology and clinical investigation at Thomas Jefferson College of Graduate Studies.

Board certified in Cardiovascular Diseases, Internal Medicine, and certified in Heart Failure by the Heart Failure Society of America, Dr. Bui is proficient in a broad array of advanced
diagnostic and invasive techniques, including coronary CT angiography, transthoracic and
transesophageal echocardiography, nuclear cardiac imaging, and invasive hemodynamic
catheterization assessment. He maintains an active clinical practice in Orange County,
California.

An accomplished clinical researcher and consultant, Dr. Bui has served as principal and sub-investigator roles in numerous Phase I–III trials at multiple institutions. Dr. Bui continues to be an active consultant with various institutions. His investigative work spans innovative therapies in heart failure, lipid management, and cardiometabolic disease, with early foundational research in neuroimaging, public health, and Dermatology. He has authored publications in peer-reviewed journals and presented widely on emerging therapies and cardiovascular care strategies.

Dr. Bui is a sought-after consultant and speaker, actively affiliated with multiple leading
pharmaceutical and medical device companies. He has served on multiple advisory boards, providing high-level strategic guidance on the development and implementation of novel cardiovascular therapies.

A fluent speaker of Vietnamese and Spanish, Dr. Bui brings a culturally informed, patient-
